Operators were required to manually place plastic jugs beneath the output of a combination scale to be filled with pretzels. This repetitive task not only demanded significant labor but also created an uncomfortable work environment, as employees were continuously exposed to falling salt from the scale.

Collaborating closely with the plant engineer, our team designed and built a custom automated pretzel jug filler. From an infeed conveyor, jugs are now indexed into position by a rotary dial that can be changed out for different jug sizes and shapes. Filled jugs are indexed out and conveyed to capping and labeling.
